DOWNTOWN is safe and walkable. To make it easier to get around downtown, there's a free electric shuttle that connects the convention center to 2,000 hotels rooms (there are an additional 9,000 rooms within 5-15 minutes away).
THERE are numerous off-site venue options & Leisure activities for conventioneers, many of which are just steps away from hotels/convention center or accessible via the free shuttle. Conventioneers can enjoy dine-arounds; team-building experiences; outdoor adventures; diverse year-round annual events; the revitalized riverfront; the Riverwalk scattered with parks, attractions & green spaces; world-class attractions; nightlife; arts & cultural venues; shopping and more.
CHATTANOOGA is a leader in sustainable growth and boasts one of the nation's top 10 green convention centers. The Center features 185,000-square feet of column-free meeting space on one level. It performs multiple sustainable practices to be energy efficient and stay environmentally friendly. Practices include: waste reduction of non-consumed food by donating to the local food bank; recycling all paper, glass, plastic and corrugated materials; and it incorporates "day lighting" technology which allows sunlight to filter in through 30-foot ceiling openings and complement the building's artificial light as well as individual temperature controls in each meeting space.

THE Chattanooga Convention Center was also the first in the nation to incorporate a Farm to Table program, providing fresh produce, bread, meats, cheese and coffee from local & in-state purveyors. They are currently purchasing bread & pastries from a local bakery and fresh tomatoes, peppers, romaine lettuce, zucchini, basil, cucumbers, strawberries, squash and more from a local company - all grown from seed specifically for the Center.
FREE time in Chattanooga means that attendees can enjoy a fabulous assortment of restaurants, attractions, museums, year-round annual events and the scenic beauty of the riverfront and surrounding mountains. The landscape changes constantly so the possibilities are endless.
DUBBED the "undiscovered gem" of Tennessee by the New York Times, Chattanooga's rebirth has enjoyed great recognition on a national scale.
